How it works
Overberg Skills Connect is a simple community noticeboard. Whether you are looking for work or looking for help, the process is straightforward.
I am looking for work
1. Create your profile
Sign up and tell the community what you can do. Add your skills, a short description, and the areas you work in. It only takes a few minutes.
2. Get discovered
Your profile appears in the local directory where people can browse by skill and location. No paperwork or approvals needed.
3. Receive contact requests
When someone is interested, they send a contact request. Your telephone number is never shown on the noticeboard. It is only shared with a person after you approve their request, and you can withdraw that approval at any time.
I am looking for a service
1. Browse local skills
Search or browse profiles by skill type and town. See what people offer and read their descriptions before reaching out.
2. Request contact details
Found someone suitable? Send a contact request. They are notified and decide whether to share their telephone number with you. Nobody else can see it.
3. Connect directly
Once the worker shares their details, you contact each other directly and agree on the work. The platform simply made the introduction.
Managing your listing
Edit your listing
Go to My Listing to update your skills, description, photo or contact details at any time. Changes appear immediately on the noticeboard.
Pause or unpause your listing
Pausing hides your listing from the noticeboard without deleting anything. Unpause it whenever you are ready to take work again.
Archive and reactivate
Archiving removes your listing from public view but keeps all your data safe. You can reactivate it whenever you want — perfect for seasonal work or short breaks.
Delete permanently
Deleting is separate from pausing and cannot be undone. You will be asked to confirm twice before anything is removed.
Handle contact requests
When someone asks for your details, you will see it under People Interested In Me on My Profile. You decide whether to approve or decline each request. Your telephone number is only released to a person you have approved, and you can withdraw it again at any time.
Check your profile regularly
We do not send SMS messages. New contact requests and updates appear under Notifications on My Profile, so please check it regularly.
